Before you generate an API key from your exchange account you will be asked to assign permissions for the key in order to determine the level of access.

Every exchange has its own API key permissions, however there are general principles you should follow:

  1. Never set Withdrawal or Transfer permissions! CryptoView does not support these operations and does not need such permissions. This is considered as a high security risk
  2. Trading permissions should only be set if you wish to use CryptoView’s API trading feature
  3. Generally, you can safely set any Read permissions in order to facilitate CryptoView’s features
