An API key allows a secure connection between your exchange account and your CryptoView account. All major crypto exchanges support API. It is a unique identifying system accessed with an API Key and API Secret key that allows an exchange of your choice to “communicate” with your CryptoView account. Each key has permissions assigned by you, which defines the level of access to your exchange account.
